Do you need a BAL Report? If you are building in a Designated Bushfire Prone Area you will need to provide a BAL Report according the Australian Standard AS3959-2009.

Why do you need a BAL Report? Following Victoria’s disastrous bushfires and the subsequent changes to the building standards in Victoria, all constructions that fall within a Bushfire Prone Area will require a BAL Report.
What does CBI Services provide? CBI Services created a unique BAL Reporting software program that enables Registered Building Inspectors the ability to provide a simple but comprehensive single page report determining the BAL Level, according to the Australian Standards.
When you have your BAL Report Once the BAL level has been determined, building recommendations are made according to your level, and your Report is provided to your Building Surveyor for completion of your Permit.
